When I was growing up my mom always told me that I have an old soul. I think she was referring to some of my personality characteristics, but I’ve also always had a love for unique vintage finds to add something special and one of a kind to my style. In a world full of technology, I still cannot seem to get away from a good old fashioned note book. There is something about the cover that creates a vibe about what the inside holds. I have so many notebooks, some for to-do lists, some for journaling or more personal things.
It’s fun because when I open a notebook I don’t always remember what I will find inside. Today, I opened this one and found pages and pages picture below.
At first I could not figure out what in the world these sequences of numbers and letters meant. After looking a little longer I realized that these are nursing sessions and nap times. (Yes I am one of those crazy paranoid first time moms and wrote down everything when R was first born.) I also was terrified of doing it “wrong” so I looked to this for validation and reassurance. Now our, day-to-day life looks so different that it’s hard for me to fathom this.
Little R is so much more flexible these days. We took him to one of daddy’s performances and he made it to 10PM which was so unheard of! I have been very reluctant to change his schedule because it’s predictable and it works well for him but I’m more confident that if we change it sometimes it won’t be the end of the world.
