5 Ingredient Plant Based Valentine's Truffles

I am a total foodie. I love seeing beautifully curated food (especially desserts) but I am a HORRIBLE baker. I always have the best of intentions but I don't thrive in a cooking environment where things have to be so precise it's more like a science lab. I'm much better with add a dab of this and a dab of that. The boys and I had a total blast making these super easy, delicious, plant based truffles. I'm finding more and more that we are all craving fun time together, not sure if it was the inundating amounts of socializing and "things" from the holidays, but I thought this was the perfect time to do a little DIY Valentine's Day treat together.

What you'll need

-1 cup vegan dark chocolate (I used Lily's)

-1 tbsp maple syrup

-1/2 tbsp vegan butter (I used Earth Balance)

-1/2 tbsp almond milk

-sprinkles of your choice

I combined all of the ingredients in a microwave safe dish and heated in 30 second intervals until melted. I added the maple syrup because the chocolate is a bit bitter with no added sugars. The boys absolutely loved putting all different combinations of sprinkles in the bottom of the silicone heart ice tray I snagged from Dollar Tree and they even loved taste testing along the way! They came out super cute and it was a great memory for all of us.
